Erica Lane turns Christmas music into a magical, nostalgic, and spiritual experience in the album Saved Tonight. It appeals to all genres, all ages, and even children will love her originals like The Secret Workshop and The Giant Wreath. The lyrics portray parallel dimensions on how we celebrate Christmas with loved ones today and how it all began a long time ago.Customer Reviews A musical treat!, Review by Angela, ChristianCinema.com A classically trained singer, Erica displays a vocal versatility that is showcased on this recording. On the quicker tunes (Jingle Bells, Deck the Hals, God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen), her ability to gracefully and lightly move around her vocal range is evident. The richness of her tone is showcased in slower songs like Saved Tonight and O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. Erica's abilities as a songwriter also shine through in the four songs she wrote for this project. She has an ability to thoughtfully combine interesting words with music that seems to fit just right, and you sense that none of her choices were made without a great deal of consideration. Saved Tonight: True Tales of Christmas is a nice compilation of songs that you'll listen to many times and hear something new. It's a musical treat from an interesting new artist with a lot of potential for the future. (Posted on 1/7/10) This girl can SING! WOW! , Review by JohnThe biggest draw-back is selection here, with mostly kid friendly tunes. Her cover songs from HSM are powerful, clear, and moving. She is clearly a Christian singer, but there are plenty of offerings in general rock clean enough for a cover here ... what I would give to hear her rendition of some Alanis, No Doubt, or Indigo Girl songs.
